How About Recognition Professionals International?

I just received an email from Recognition Professionals International (RPI), noting that their annual conference will be held April 27-May 1 in New Orleans (https://m360.recognition.org/event.aspx?eventID=57357). I have no idea what the vendor to practitioner ratio is, but it appears to be pretty vendor heavy. That being said, I recommend that all of my clients join RPI and begin taking advantage of the cutting edge thinking available on recognition strategy, program design, and implementation.

As more and more corporate-wide workforce recognition programs come up to speed and the positive results become known – increases in employee engagement and recognition scores – the more valuable RPI can be to an organization.

In addition to the resources available, “RPI offers its Certified Recognition Professional program, which sets the standard for assessment of an individuals' abilities and provides a means for Recognition Professionals to acquire the needed skills and knowledge in order to excel.

Each CRP course offered by RPI is approved for .6 CEUs as approved by IACET. The two-day post conference offering – The Value of Recognition – is approved for 1.2 CEUs as approved by IACET. Recognition Professionals International (RPI) has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 8405 Greensboro Drive, Suite 800, McLean, VA 22102.”

Disclosure. . .I have taken CRP Certification classes I-III and keep missing IV to complete my certification due to scheduling conflicts. Hopefully will be able to add that designation early next year!
