Recognition, Incentives and Safe Work – Cont.

Last time I noted that a forward-thinking client had a good handle on how to begin a loss prevention process that will lead to a reduction in preventable and lost-time accidents. He wants to do this by motivating and rewarding Safety Coordinators to be diligent and proactive in their loss prevention duties, which will raise awareness of safe work activities throughout the work place. These duties include filling out safety scorecards, holding safety meetings, managing a safety messaging program, filling out accident investigations, etc. What the client didn’t know was how he was going to track, measure, and reward for these activities.
